脂質膜形態形成および脂質膜を介したシグナル伝達に関して、生体膜の形態機能形成に着目し、タンパク質と脂質分子の共役した細胞内での分子機構を解明することにより、 細胞や動物個体に見られる形態形成機構を理解し、かつ、疾患形成を解明することを目指した研究・教育を行う。
